veLua
veLua is an alternative and extremely user-friendly programming interface to the veLib. It allows
users to write complete distributed high-performance virtual reality applications without digging into
the complexities of the C++ programming language underlying the veLib. For more information, please
refer to the extensive documentation.
Download
- veLua source code for all platforms. Requires a recent (> 1.6) snapshot
of the veLib to compile. Note that for building applications with veLua, normally the binaries provided below
are sufficient.
- veLua binary for MS Windows. Includes a small example scene.
- veLua binary and source code for Linux. Includes a small example scene.
- Detailed example for veLua. Includes binaries for Windows, but can be easily combined with the
Linux binaries provided above. Note that due to the detailed models this is a large file (~25 MB).
- veLua user guide as PDF. A detailed documentation of the programming interface covering
the Lua extensions, the related XML statements, and also the underlying C++ classes.
- Lua homepage. In order to learn more about Lua, take a look at the excellent
documentation available on its homepage. Please note that this is an external link, and the Max Planck Society is not responsible for the contents presented there.
